Hi! I love to encourage people (especially women) to pursue a relationship with God first and foremost and to pursue their dreams. I find myself [encouraging/motivating] other people to succeed (however they define that) by placing God first. Whenever someone asks me what I aspire to professionally, my answer is usually “I want to help people” and “I want to motivate people”. Wanting to “help and motivate people” is not however easy to define in a concrete way so after trying to figure out which path to take, writing/blogging emerged as my answer.
My blog’s purpose is to be a voice of motivation to women who need it. I am convinced that sometimes all we need is love, and since God is love, all we need is God. I want to point you to a deeper relationship with God by sharing my own life’s experiences and inexperience’s (in some cases). My prayer is that I seek to continually grow, I can share this journey with others and be inspirational to them on their journey towards growth.
I currently live in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area with my husband Paul. I am originally from Alabama, born in Mobile but raised in Birmingham. My hobbies include: reading, shopping, discovering new places (which I have been doing more of since moving to the greater Baltimore area) and laughing (which I do daily).
I have a MBA and certifications in coaching (personal empowerment for Women) and diversity training for businesses. I have a B.S. in Christian Ministry, a certificate of Ministry and Leadership from Highlands College (Birmingham, AL), and I am currently working on a M.Div. in Women’s Ministry.
